In 1947, they returned to Neosho and he began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., and in 1960 the family moved to Branson, where he worked for an independent telephone company. In 1965, he went to work for Harris/McBernie Telephone Co., traveling to Saudi Arabia, Jamaica and other foreign countries. Edward was a member of the Neosho United Methodist Church.
