Eugene Ray Pugh, 68, passed away suddenly Oct. 1, 2017 at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1949, in rural Jasper County, Missouri, to Raymond and Vera Rives Pugh. He was a farmer and resided in Jasper, Mo., most of his life.
Gene is survived by his wife, Kay, Jasper; mother, Vera Pugh, of Lamar, Mo.; daughters, Randa (Matt) Dysinger, Carthage, Mo., and Robin (Greg) Wampler, Jasper; step-son, EJ (Shirley) Sisseck, Jasper; grandson, Dakota Dysinger, Carthage; step-grandsons, Jeremy (Deanna) Wampler, Wallingford, Conn., and Steve (Stefanie) Wampler, Bethany, Conn.; and seven step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Carter (Jill) Pugh, Irwin, Fred (Glenda) Pugh, Joplin, Gerald (Sheila) Pugh, Irwin, Joe (Vicki) Pugh, Lamar, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Pugh; sister, Sue Miller; nephew, Kevin Miller; and niece, Karen Miller.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, from 6 to 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Weng Funeral Chapel.
