Frieda J. Hill, 92, formerly of Carthage, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at the Cassville Health Care & Rehab Center, Cassville, Mo.
Frieda Jeannette Nachamkin was born December 10, 1924, in New York City, N.Y., a daughter of the late Greinom Kalman Nachamkin and Blume Lillian Hunau Nachamkin. She was a graduate of Julia Richman High School, New York.
She married Calvin L. Hill on September 7, 1946, in New York City; he preceded her in death on May 28, 2001.
Frieda was a homemaker and was a member of the United Hebrew Congregation, Joplin, Mo.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Lynn Stoops, Cassville; two sons, David L. Hill (wife Joyce), Joplin, and Gerald L. Hill (wife Pamela), Carthage; two sisters, Charlotte Chico, Bronx, N.Y., and Minerva T. Abbot, Sarasota, Fla.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 24, in Park Cemetery, Carthage.
Memorial gifts are suggested to United Hebrew Congregation, Joplin, or Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut, Carthage, MO, 64836.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
