Leonard Edwin Hall, 86, of Galena, Kan., passed from this life on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at the Galena Nursing Center.
Leonard was born on June 22, 1931, in Blackwell, Okla., to the union of Carl Floyd and Emma Evalena (Andrews) Hall. Leonard graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 1949. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. He then worked for Mid-Western Oil Company, in Joplin, Mo., for many years as a warehouse supervisor. Leonard was a member of the Baxter Springs
V.F. W. Post 408. Leonard enjoyed taking trips, riding on his motorcycle.
Leonard was united in marriage to Mary Alice (Wenzel) Hall on March 22, 1952, in Arkansas. She precedes him in death.
Also preceding Leonard in death are his parents and one brother, Mahlon Hall.
Leonard is survived by one son, Jeffrey Hall, of Webb City, Mo.; daughter, Linda Brown, of Parsons, Kan.; three brothers, Donald Hall, of Eufaula, Okla., Wilford Hall, of Wichita, Kan., and Carl James Hall, of Moscow, Idaho; five grandchildren, along with several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 4, at Hillcrest Cemetery, Galena. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m., at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena.
