Marco Ken Jeffries of Carl Junction, Mo., passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 23, 2017, at his home.
Mark was born on September 4, 1953, in Lincoln, Neb. He recently retired from 28 years of service at Dead or Alive Tree Service, a company he owned and operated with his sons. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting, scuba diving, canoeing, collecting arrowheads, and one of his favorites, spending time with his grandkids.
Mark will be remembered by everyone who knew him as the selfless, loving man that he was.
Marco is survived by his mother, June Roland, of Joplin, Mo.; sister, Kathy Seward and husband, Bill, of Joplin; longtime partner, Kathy Mitchell, of Joplin; his children, Julie Morse, of Joplin, Tamara Nowka and husband, Albert, of Howell, Mich., Colton, Marco, and Alex Jeffries, of Joplin, and stepson, Chris Vaughn, of Joplin. Marco had eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth E. Jeffries.
In lieu of flowers, please join us for a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, February 28, at the Webb City Farmer's Market from 1 to 5 p.m. A memorial prayer will be recited at 3 p.m.
