Peggy Joan Cox, age 77, formerly of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at her home in Branson, Mo., after a sudden illness.
Peggy was born August 16, 1939, in Covington, Ky., daughter of the late Lon Cook and Bertha Halcomb Cook. She was a homemaker, and member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Gary Cox; sons, Kenny Cox and wife, Cathy, of Joplin, Tim Cox and wife, Autumn, of Miamisburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Abigail Cox, Devin Cox, Allison Cox, Charissa Cox, Audrey Cox, Analise Cox, Amalea Cox; great-grandchildren, Caden and Landon; her brother, Lonnie Cook and wife, Carolyn, of Raleigh, N.C.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 10, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with her sons officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m.
