Teresa D. Long, age 53, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo.
She was born on January 5, 1964, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Donald LaRue and Sharon (Bledsoe) LaRue. Teresa was a nurse's aide for Oxford Healthcare. She loved her job and the people she was able to care for.
Her kids and grandkids were her life. Teresa loved to bake elaborate birthday cakes for them, have family gatherings, to garden and do just about anything that would let her be in the outdoors.
She is survived by her parents; her son, Donny McDowell and wife, Sarah; daughter, Stephanie Hardee and husband, Glen; son, Dustin Eastin and wife, Alana; grandchildren, Trenton, Emma, Rylee, Brayden, Hailey, Alyssa, Emily, Sophie, Glen, Roxanne, Nora, Delylah, and Cecily; her sisters, Tamara Watkins and husband, James, Kimberly Pruitt and husband, Mike, Becky Fetters and husband, Donnie; her grandmother, Peggy Bledsoe.
The family will have a celebration of life at Destiny Church in Joplin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 17.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City, Mo.
