Annis Jane Medley
September 30, 1940 - August 28, 2025
Annis Jane Ellison Medley, 84, of Joplin, Mo passed away August 28th, 2025 surrounded by her family. Annis was born September 30, 1940 to the late Leslie and Beatrice Ellison. She graduated Carl Junction high school class of 1958. Where she was very active in cheerleading and softball. She married Wayne Medley March 7th, 1962. They were married 63 years before her passing.
She was an active member of the ATA lodge #160 for 50 years. She worked many years as a health and beauty aids buyer for Katz, Skaggs Alpha Bet, Smitty's, Albertsons and Price Cutters.
Annis was preceded in death by her daughter Sinna Medley Audo, grandson Ronald Gene Highnite Jr. and
Two brothers Eldon Ellison, Lomer Ellison.
Annis is survived by three daughters Johna Hignite, Mikia Dowling and Timma Medley. Four grandchildren Amber Hignite, Nick and wife Shelby Audo, Anthoney and wife Amanda Audo, Vincent and wife Christine Audo and eight great grandchildren. Two brothers Condia Ellison and Floyd Ellison. She also leaves many family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Although her physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her sprit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Her light will forever shine brightly in our herts.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
