Audrey A. Boyer Obituary

Fairland, Oklahoma - Audrey A. Boyer entered the arms of Jesus on Feb. 22, 2024. Born June 3, 1930, to the late Albert and Belle Kennedy, she lived her young years in western Kansas. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Howard (Bud) Boyer and moved to southern Missouri. To this union were four children: Frances (Keith) Hinson, Donna (Cole) Cummins, Dr. Vic (Brenda) Boyer and Nancy (Eddie) King. She is also survived by her grandchildren Shauna (Jason) Peterson, Dana Newman, Stacy (Chad) Sloan, Nikki (Ryan) Thompson, Newly (Lisa) Boyer, Andi (Brian) Boyer, Slate Boyer, Dr. Eli Welch, Ashby Welch, 12 great grandchildren, her brother Beryle Kennedy and his wife Dixie, her sister Reta Whitham, brother-in-law Don Boyer and wife Treva, sister-in-law Gwyn Boyer and over 200 nieces, nephews, greats and great greats.

She was gifted musically and blessed all those who were fortunate to hear her. She used her musical gift her entire life by singing, playing several instruments, and dancing. She was self-taught and could listen and replay just about anything. She was also passionate about gardening and traveling. She had visited all 50 US states and 23 countries.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Howard (Bud) Boyer (D.2004) and second husband Merle Tinney (D. 2007), and grandson Dr. Mason Cummins (D. 2010). She was also preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Belle Kennedy.

Brother, Gary Kennedy; sister, Joanne Bussen; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Kennedy, Joyce Boyer; brothers-in-law, Norb Bussen, Duane Whitham, Frank Boyer, John Boyer.

She was a beautiful person who was loved and respected by all, and she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 2PM until 4PM on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at First Christian Church in Fairland.

Services will be 1PM on Monday, February 26, 2024, at First Christian Church in Fairland with Ministers Gary Radtke, Nate Anderson and Truman Brady. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery near Neosho under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's in Audrey's honor.

Thanks to Good Shepherd Hospice for helping make Audrey's final days comfortable and peaceful.

Pallbearers are her grandsons Newly Boyer, Slate Boyer, Eli Welch, Ashby Welch, Jason Peterson, Chad Sloan, Ryan Thompson, Brian Staton, and in spirit Mason Cummins.
