Bruce M. Baugh
Bruce Marshall Baugh, age 65, Joplin, MO, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at his home after a sudden illness.
Bruce was born June 11, 1954, in Annapolis, MD, son of the late Herbert Hill Baugh and Marjorie Lee Sexton Baugh. He grew up in California, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, in Long Beach, CA.
He moved to the Joplin area in 1976, and worked for years with Crowder Pest Control. He also ran a bait shop located on Iowa Avenue for several years. He was a proud member of the Joplin Fraternal Order of the Eagle's Lodge #2410. He served as a past president, and was a member for over 20 years.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Susan Wermter Rich. She passed away on December 26, 2004.
Survivors include his sisters, Janet Hunter, of Charlottesville, VA, and Susan Baugh, of Salt Lake City, UT; nieces, Megan Sexton Hunter, Crozet, WV, and Margaret Wagner Hunter, of Richmond, WV; nephew, William Ian Hunter, of Santa Barbara, CA.
Funeral service will be Thursday, December 5, at 10 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel, with Rev. Alan McCamey officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 1 p.m., at Shiloh Cemetery, Miller, MO. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary following the service. A celebration of life for Bruce will be held at the Joplin Eagle's Lodge later that day.
