Columbus, Kansas - Charles Frank, age 87, of Columbus, Kansas, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Communities of Wildwood Ranch in Joplin, Missouri.
Charles was born July 24, 1935, to Elliot and Dolly (Rich) Frank. On July 18, 1981, Charles was united in marriage with Lafana Gale "Susie" Sturgeon. He worked for Cherokee County for 20 years as a road grader operator, and served as a board member for the Greenlawn Cemetery Association. Charles delivered the Sunday edition of The Joplin Globe newspaper for over 50 years, and was a member of Killville Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Elliot and Dolly Frank; wife, Susie Frank.
He is survived by one step-daughter, Sherry Washburn; and one brother, Richard Frank (wife Barbara).
Funeral services are being arranged by Derfelt Funeral Home of Columbus, Kansas, and will be held at Killville Church April 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
