Constance Christine Bowen (Constance)
October 31, 1948 - March 24, 2025
Constance Christine Devore, age 76 of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 24, 2025 surrounded by her family. Connie was born October 31, 1948 in Joplin to the late Ernest and Cora Lorene (Blood) Devore.
Connie lived in the Joplin area all of her life, graduating with honors in 1966 from Joplin High School. She started working for Southwestern Bell as a phone operator and eventually worked as a technician with AT&T, retiring after 42 years of service. She had a passion for all kinds of animals and was known by her siblings as being a "Daddy's girl".
Other than her parents, Connie is preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Devore.
Those left to mourn her passing include her son, Jason Devore of Joplin; sisters, Donna Moore (Fred) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Teresa Devore of Carthage, Missouri, Joyous Devore of Elizabethtown; niece, Michelle Gibson and nephew, Shane Moore, both of Elizabethtown.
Memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Parker Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
