Donna Donna June Sallee

Donnis (Donna) June Sallee, 85, passed away at home in California on August 03,
2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 30, 1938, in Sarcoxie,
Missouri, to Edna Ogle. She graduated from Diamond High School. She married Olen
Sallee on August 19, 1955, at Diamond Christian Church in Missouri, and they were
married for 65 years. They owned a Phillips 76 gas station in Carthage, Missouri, and
lived in Diamond. The family relocated to California in 1970 for career opportunities.
Donnis worked at various electronic companies. Her passion was her garden but also
enjoyed raising Ostriches, Emus, rabbits, and award-winning Pot-bellied pigs. She
always enjoyed watching her boys and grandchildren play sports. Her favorite two MLB
teams were the Oakland A's and St. Louis Cardinals. She loved hosting the family for
BBQ's, birthdays, and holidays. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her
spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
Donnis is survived by her sons Don (Sue) from La Grange, California, Rick (Virginia)
from Tracy, California, Bill from California, Doug (Denise) from Hickory Creek, Texas,
sister-in-law Elaine Ogle and close friend Sondra Kisling from Missouri. Her
grandchildren Danyell, Tanya, Jacob, James, Jared, Angel, Anthony, Kevin, and
Cassie. She had six great-grandchildren Haley, Isaac, Xavier, Alex, Lily and Lainey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Olen (1935-2020), her children Kimberly
(1968-1970), Bruce (1961-2012), Ron (1959-2023), and her mother Edna Ogle and
brother Roy Ogle.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Tree Planting Timeline

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
