They had six children. They lived in several states during their married life and later retired in Joplin, MO in 1985.
A homemaker, she and her husband were happily married for over 67 years. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2013. Jeanie continued to live at College View Manor and enjoyed her friends and staff until her death.
Jeanie was a member of the First United Methodist Church since 1969, where she was active with the Sarah Circle group. Jeanie was a member of the Woman's Club at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club and the former Welcome Club of Joplin.
