Mr. Edwin Joe Simpson Obituary

Sarcoxie, MO - On June 15, 2025, Eddie Joe Simpson passed away peacefully, having fought a long battle with illness. He is survived by his mother, Cammy Michelle Simpson, her partner Lee Weber; his stepfather, Edwin Joe Simpson; his grandmother, Polly Anne Melton; his grandfather, Kenny Melton; his sisters, Edie Simpson and Glendola Flake; four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Hazley, and grandparents, Emma Jane and Herbert "Mon" Hazley.

Born on January 7th in Joplin, Missouri, Eddie was a spirited, determined soul with a passion for music and mechanics. From a young age, he loved playing guitar, riding dirt bikes, and exploring life with fearless joy and wide-eyed wonder.

Eddie inspired many with his resilience, bringing light to friends at Sarcoxie Nursing Home through music, murals, and leadership. His energy and refusal to be ordinary will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. A celebration of life will be held at the Joplin VFW on Saturday, July 26th at 2pm. All who loved him are welcome.
