Everett E. Vance
Everett Eugene Vance, age 29, Joplin, MO, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at his home after a sudden illness.
Everett was born December 28, 1989, in Joplin, and attended Joplin schools. He worked for his father at Gateway Pest Control, and was a member of Calvary Chapel, in Joplin.
He loved spending time with his family, playing his guitar, and singing. He was known for posts of him playing and singing music on YouTube. He was a very gifted musician who taught himself to play the guitar. He spent weekends at the Salvation Army, where he enjoyed serving others. He also loved being outdoors, and going on hikes.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Sorenson and husband, Charles, of Joplin; his father, Lewis Vance, of Joplin; sister, Sara Watson and husband, Lindsey, of Greenfield, MO; half sister, Zoe Vance, of Joplin; and a stepsister, Amanda Davison and husband, Dusty, of Liberal, MO; grandparents, Jean Tierney, of Joplin, and Charles and Nancy Sorenson, of Liberal; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, June 4, at 2 p.m., at Parker Mortuary Chapel, with Pastors Russ Hibbard and David Badley officiating. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary following the service.
The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army in memory of Everett.
