Jasper, MO - Helen Leveta Mackey Winter, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Helen was born on May 29, 1938, to Trafford and Irlene Baker. She lived in the Jasper and Carthage areas her entire life.

She was united in marriage to Roger Mackey on September 1, 1956, in Miami, OK. Together they were blessed with three daughters. After Roger's passing, Helen later married Lloyd Winter on May 10, 1996.

Helen was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 6415, a devoted member of Jasper Christian Church, a Deputy in the Jasper County Recorder's Office, and for many years she volunteered at the Carthage Mercy Hospital. She cherished her family and was an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her daughters, Debra Marsh and Brenda Liar; her grandchildren, Ashley Griffiths and Tyson and Eli Weng; and her great grandchildren, Chyler, Abery, Isabella, Larkin, and Lucas: as well as extended family.

Helen was preceded in death by both husbands, Roger Mackey and Lloyd Winter; her daughter, Glenna Sue; her grandson, Landon Weng; and her parents.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by an 11:00 AM service on Saturday August 16, 2025 at the Jasper Christian Church.
