Jack W. Frieze
Former Carthage, MO resident, Jack W. Frieze, who recently had made his home in Dallas, TX, passed away October 4, 2019, while enjoying a fishing excursion off the coast of Guatemala. Jack was born July 5, 1945, the son of Arkley and Evalyn Frieze. He graduated in 1963 from Carthage High School, in 1967 from DePauw University and from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1970.
Jack established and maintained a law firm in Irving, TX for many years. He married Cordelia Hornberger in 1973. Jack relocated to Port Aransas, TX, and practiced law in the city of Rockport. Following his retirement, Jack moved to Costa Rica and later returned to Dallas.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Cordelia Rendall and her husband, David, of Dallas, and their children, Lola and David. His is also survived by his brother, Ed Frieze and wife, Maureen, of Dallas; and his sister, Jane Crawford and her husband, Carl, of Carthage. Nephews and nieces are Connor Frieze, Natalie Frieze, Clay and his wife, Elizabeth Crawford and Carrie and her husband, Chris Swetnam.
