Jeanetta Wetzel, 83, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest August 27, 2022, at the Seneca House Nursing Home after an illness.

Jeanetta Victoria Hodson was born December 17, 1938, in rural Seneca the daughter of Oval and Emma (Barnett) Hodson. Jeanetta had lived in the area most of her life. She graduated from Anderson High School. Jeanetta formerly served as an election judge for many years, and raised funds in the Hart area for the American Cancer Society. She was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her family. Jeanetta especially loved taking care of her grandchildren and her husband. She taught Sunday School over 50 years, and was a 45 year member of Hart Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and Christian lady who will be missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Jeanetta V. Hodson married Bobby Jack (Bob) Wetzel May 10, 1960, in McDonald County, MO, and he survives.

Additional survivors include her children, Cheryl Gilbert and husband Randy, Seneca, Robert Wetzel and wife Bonnie, Seneca, and Dennis Wetzel and wife Dorsey, Seneca; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her niece Angie Reed, Grove, OK; and a host of extend family and friends.

Jeanetta was preceded in death by her parents, Oval and Emma Hodson and one sister, Wanda Shobe.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at the Hart Baptist Church with Bro. Darrell (Buddy) Pease officiating. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery with Doug Rogers, Doug Wetzel, Randy Wetzel, Joe Banker, Travis Sampson and Mike Reed serving as pallbearers.
