Jeannie Rea Storm, age 80, of Nixa, MO, entered into her heavenly home on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Jeannie was born on August 11, 1944, in Joplin, MO. She was the daughter of Guy and Gladys Irene (Osborne) Rea. A resident of Joplin, MO, until moving to Springfield, MO, in 1984; Jeannie attended and graduated from Joplin Senior High in 1962. She met the love of her life and married Richard Storm in Joplin, MO, on October 15, 1966. Jeannie was a devoted spouse and mother who enjoyed being an active member of her church, teaching Sunday school and working in the nursery. She was an active member of the congregations at Faith Assembly of God, Nixa First Assembly of God, and Bella Vista Assembly of God.
Some of her favorite pastimes included coloring books (one was always in the car!), going to garage sales, collecting the K-Mart bears (even after Richard retired) and Beanie Babies, and doting on her beloved Pomeranians. She never knew a stranger and she will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings, Roger Mills Brown Jr., Patricia Ann Moore, Billie Allen, and Lettie Rea.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Richard Storm; two sons, Shannon Storm and wife, Kellie, and Kevin Storm; two grandchildren, Ashlynne South and husband, Logan, and Skyler Storm; two great-grandchildren, Elias and Adalynn; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was a beloved daughter, spouse, mother, grandmother, sister. She was loved and will be missed greatly by her family.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:

January - May

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.

June - December

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
