Jerry Milford Weldy
June 30, 1928 - August 20, 2024
Jerry Milford Weldy was the son of George Otto Dewey Weldy and Vida Norene Sharon Weldy. Born 30 June 1928 in Lawrence County, Missouri, and died 20 August 2024 in Jasper County, Missouri.
He married Margaret "Maggie" Ruth Frazier on 22 December 1960 in Miami, Ottawa County, Oklahoma. Margaret died 14 December 2015 and is buried in Hackney Cemetery, Jasper, Jasper County, Missouri. Jerry and Margaret had three children, George Lynn Weldy who died 15 February 2006 and Sharon Norene Weldy and Marni Leigh (Weldy) Smith who both survive.
Jerry was a very active and creative farmer his entire life and remained upon his farm after the passing of his wife Margaret until his final time. In addition, Jerry leaves behind one very loving sister, Bette June (Weldy) Burfield along with three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service held for Jerry at 10:00 AM on Friday 23 August 2024 at Hackney Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to the Carthage Masonic Lodge #197 A.F.&A.M.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
