Linda Jane Thomas, 69, Nevada, MO, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at her home in Nevada following a lengthy illness. Janie was born October 22, 1951 in Broken Arrow, NE, to John T. and Evelyn (Elliott) Friel. She was united in marriage to Dennis Thomas on June 15, 1969, in Walker, MO, and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Survivors include three children, Chuck Thomas (Regina), Carthage, Jennifer Thomas, Nevada, Justin Thomas (Nik Nelson), Joplin; two grandchildren, Jessica Thomas, Columbia, MO, and Dalton Thomas, Nevada; mother, Evelyn Friel, Jefferson City, MO.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 on Friday, November 27, 2020, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Nevada, MO, with Father Peter Savidge officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home prior to the service on Friday.
