Galena, Kansas - Galena, KS: Loreena "Reena" Williams, age 83 of Galena, passed away at her home on the morning of Thursday, February 13, 2025. Reena was born in Joplin, MO, on October 28, 1941 to the union of John "Raymond" Norvell and Lorraine (Bliss) Norvell.

She graduated from Galena High School with the Class of 1959. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Presbyterian Church of Galena, and had most recently been attending the Galena United Methodist Church. She worked as an office secretary for the Galena Middle School for many years and brightened the lives of hundreds of students that she cared for. Students and Co-Workers described her as spunky, outspoken, fun, and one-of-a-kind; always with a twinkle in her eye and an encouraging word.

She was united in marriage with Donald R. Williams on November 24, 1961. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lorraine Norvell; three brothers, Louis "Eddie" Norvell, Jerry Norvell, and Kenneth Norvell. Survivors include two sons, Mel Williams (wife, Becky), and Mark "Chuggers" Williams (wife, Stacey), both of Galena; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ann Myers of Wheat Ridge, CO; as well as several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, "Sam".

Mrs. Williams has been entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena for cremation. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the Galena High School Performing Arts Center. Pastor Dorcia Johnson will officiate.
