Lynna  Tomlin
Mrs. Lynna Lou Tomlin, 68, of Miami, OK, departed this life into the receiving arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 28, 2019, while at their vacation home in Branson, MO, after a brief illness.
Lynna entered this life September 16, 1951, in Joplin, MO, daughter of the late Henry F. and Esther A. (Machlan) Means. She was raised in the Lakeside Community east of Carterville, MO. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1969 and furthered her education at Missouri Southern State College, receiving a bachelor's degree in business administration.
On June 25, 1976, she was united in marriage to Charles Tomlin. To this union two sons were born.
In 1979, they moved their family to Miami. She worked as a disc jockey, was a paralegal for several law offices and as a medical transcriptionist. She was employed for 14 years with the state of Oklahoma, working a number of those years as court bailiff and secretary to the presiding judge of Ottawa and Delaware counties. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and was a devout prayer warrior. Lynna was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church, in Miami.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Roy, Don and a twin sister, Connie Sue.
Lynna is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles Tomlin, of the home; two sons, Joshua Tomlin and wife, Rachel, of Land O'Lakes, FL, and Charles Tomlin and wife, Lori, of Jefferson City, MO; seven grandchildren, Kenedie, Sophia, Noah, Emma, Sterling, Gracelynn and Jack; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Lynna will be held on Thursday morning, October 3, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Parker Mortuary, in Joplin, with Pastor Geoff Buffalo officiating. Private family interment will follow in the Harrington Cemetery, in Republic, MO. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Memorials are being directed to Eastside Baptist Church Edna McMillan Mission Offering, in care of the mortuary.

Charlie I am deeply sorry about Lynna’s passing she was a very dear person and I enjoyed speaking with her at the reunion. My thought’s and prayer’s are with you during this difficult time.
