Mozelle  Sandlin
Mozelle Sandlin was born September 23, 1931, in Southwest City, MO, the daughter of Dewey T. 'Dood' and Nora Martha (Wilson) Sharp. She entered into rest on October 8, 2019 at Granby, following a short illness at the age of 88.
Mozelle was a lifelong area resident and lived in the Neosho area since the age of 10. She was a special education teacher for many years, having taught at East Newton for many years and retiring in 1989. She was a member of MSTA, she enjoyed doing genealogy, but her passion was teaching. She was a member of the Neosho Church of the Nazarene.
Mozelle married Theodore John 'Ted' Sandlin. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2009.
She is survived by four children, Sandy Mills and husband, John, of Neosho, John Sandlin and wife, Marinda, of Neosho, Tammy Berry and husband, Rick, of Lee's Summit, MO, and Tim Sandlin and wife, Maria, of Nauasota, TX; three sisters, Lou Brown, of Seneca, Connie Ferguson, of Exeter, and Jeanne Greer, of Florida; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 11, at 2 p.m. at the Neosho Nazarene Church, James Keezer and Mike Aldrich will officiate. Interment will be in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 p.m. until service time Friday.
Contributions, in memory of Mozelle, may be made to the Building Fund of the Neosho Church of the Nazarene, in care of Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
