Norma Lee Metz (Norma)
April 5, 1949 - May 2, 2025
Norma Lee Metz, 76, of Statesville, NC lost her battle with ovarian cancer today.
She was born April 5, 1949 to Frank and Norma Stinson . She was born and raised in Joplin Missouri where she worked for Labarge, Midcon Cables and Motorola .She married Frank Metz Sr. and had two sons Frank Metz Jr. and Shannon Todd Metz. Later the family moved to Statesville, North Carolina , where she was employed at Asmo in spot welding and the supply room. Norma enjoyed the outdoors, mowing grass and working in her yard. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Norma Stinson, husband, Frank Metz Sr. and son, Shannon Todd Metz.
Left to cherish her memory is her son. Frank Metz Jr.; daughter in law, Laura Dawn Metz both of Lincolnton , NC, ;brother, Gary Reniker of Troutman, NC; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the West Iredell Fire department of Statesville NC.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
