Joplin, Missouri - Rebecca Ann Tyler, age 71, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at 9:49 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. She was born May 29, 1952, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Emery Ellis and Ruth Maxine (Stokes) Blevins.

Becky attended Miller Schools in Miller, Missouri and was a 1980 graduate of Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, with her Nursing Degree. Becky worked in the ICU and Surgical Unit at St. John's Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

On March 13, 1982, she married Jim Tyler in Joplin, Missouri.

Becky is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jim; her mother, Ruth Blevins, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; two sons, Rob Hendricks and his wife, Melanie, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jamey Tyler and his wife, Jessica, of Owasso, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Connor, Alex, Knox, Gable and Sebastian and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Emery Blevins; her sister, Susan Kappler and her brother, Stephen Blevins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, with burial to follow at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.
