Ronnie C. Simpson, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 16, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. Born on November 10, 1935, in San Angelo, Texas, Ronnie proudly carried his Texas roots wherever he went.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Marilyn Simpson, and their four cherished children: Tim Simpson, Jana Bennett (Cliff), and Nancy Williams (Anthony), all of Omaha, Nebraska, and Sarah Carrender (Trent) of Springdale, Arkansas. Ronnie was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Paula Sue Middleton of Henderson, KY. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, J. Paul and Margaret Simpson.
Ron was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and served his God loyally until his death. He was deeply passionate about his faith, eagerly sharing his beliefs and encouraging others through his words and deeds.
Ronnie's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, yet the profound impact of his life will endure forever. Comforted by God's promise, his family eagerly anticipates their joyful reunion with him in paradise.
Viewing will be held at Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO on April 4, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will take place on April 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses also in Joplin, MO.

Plant a tree: How does it work

When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.

An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.

After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.

Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
