Ruth Ann (Jackson) DeWitt
Ruth Ann (Jackson) DeWitt was born May 19, 1950, at home in Granby, MO, to Addrean Benton Jackson and Ruby Lee (Howard) Jackson. Ruth Ann was the youngest of three daughters and graduated from Granby High School.
She met her husband of 48 years, Michael Leon DeWitt, when they both worked at Buddy L in Neosho. Ruth Ann's passion was quilt making and she made nearly 100 quilts, giving many to family and friends before her failing eyesight curtailed her hobby.
Ruth Ann passed away peacefully at home in Oronogo, MO, on December 13, 2019, after a 16-month battle against cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents and eldest sister, Judy Tanner.
Ruth Ann is survived by her husband, Mike, of the home; two daughters: Michael-Ann DeWitt, of Oronogo, and Terra Ann Ogle and husband, Jimmy, of Waco, MO; four grandchildren, Allegra Dawn Spurgeon, Jimmy D. Ogle, Zachary M. Ogle and Natosha Thomas; one great-granddaughter, Madison Ogle; a sister, Linda Little; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Tanner.
Ruth Ann chose cremation and a private family gathering.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth Ann's name may be made to the fight against breast cancer.
