Joplin, MO - Sandra Jost Peterson, age 70, of Joplin, MO passed away on July 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Sandy was born June 18, 1955, in Topeka, KS to the late Steve and Norma (Seitz) Jost-Young. She was a strong, independent, caring person who would do anything for her loved ones and friends. She worked at Lozier for 33 years, where she did many jobs including welding. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the yard, sewing, crafts, cooking and being at the lake.
She is survived by her husband Kerry Peterson; daughter Kristina (Johnathon) Dragoo, son Michael (Wendy) Sullivan, bonus daughter Shanell (Eric) Bradshaw, stepdaughter Stephanie (Roger) Grimes, stepson Levi (Rosie) Peterson, stepson Ryan Peterson, brother Ray (Lori) Jost, and sister Sheri Williams (partner Steve). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A private Celebration of Life will take place at Table Rock Lake at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in her name.
