Thomas Morrison King, known affectionately as Tom to his friends and family, passed away on February 17, 2025, in Durant, Oklahoma. Born on January 3, 1947, in Fayette, Missouri, Thomas's life was marked by his steadfast faith, generous spirit, and an endlessly interesting character.

Thomas's early years in Fayette laid the foundation for a life well-lived. After earning his BA in Mechanical Engineering, he found love and companionship in Patricia Gladys Hawkins. They wed on a beautiful summer day, August 23, 1969, in Kirkwood, Missouri. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising a family.

Professionally, Thomas dedicated 44 years to Tamko Roofing, where he excelled as the VP of Best Practices. His commitment to excellence was paralleled by his involvement in various organizations, including Sigma Tau Gamma, the NRA, and the Southwest OPEL Club. These affiliations were a testament to his diverse interests and his desire to make a positive impact in his community.

An avid outdoorsman, Thomas found solace in the tranquility of nature. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or meticulously restoring cars, he embraced every moment with passion and determination. His hobbies were not just pastimes but a reflection of the man who loved working with his hands and exploring the world around him.

Thomas's legacy is lovingly carried on by his wife, Pat King; sons Thomas King and his wife Suzy, and Jason King; grandchildren John Thomas, Weston, Seely, Jalyn, Luke, Ryder, Sasha, Coen, and Claire; brothers Jimmy King, Johnny King and his wife Jolene; and sister Edie King. He was preceded in death by Joe King, Joanne Morgan, Helen King, and Bill King.

Thomas's life was a testament to the virtues he held dear: faith, generosity, and interest in the world and people around him. He will be deeply missed by all who have the privilege of knowing him.
