William Andrew Eck (Andy)
October 11, 1943 - April 27, 2025
William Andrew (Andy) Eck, born October 11, 1943, in Enid, Oklahoma, passed peacefully on April 27, 2025, near Coweta.
Growing up in Ringwood and then Afton, Andy's musical gifts took root early within a family filled with music. Andy's music career began in Vinita in 1964, managing McClain Music until 1979. He married Cheryl Patrick in 1964, welcoming daughter Susan. Later, Andy opened Andy Eck Music Company in Grove, and then two more stores over the next 28 years, becoming a respected music resource in the area. He later moved to North Carolina and consulted for a local music store.
A former Mennonite who became Episcopalian, Andy was active in the Vinita and Grove Chambers, earning "Man of the Year" in Grove.
Preceded in death by his parents, first wife Cheryl Guyaux, and stepson Steven Green, Andy is survived by his wife Charlene Briggs-Eck, daughter Susan (Mike) Eck, sister Julie (Bert) Lowry, stepchildren Gina Lynch, Michael Briggs, and Zane (Cindy) Briggs, stepmother Vernice Eck, and numerous other relatives.
Remembered for his kindness, love of family, friends, music, fishing, and OU football, Andy's generosity touched many. Services will be held May 16th at 3pm at St. Andrews Episcopal in Grove.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
